I am originally from the UK and have lived in Singapore since 2004. Over the years I have worn many hats and prior to setting up Sorted, I worked in education in various International schools supporting children with learning difficulties. It was during this time that my organisational skills really developed as I would need to find relevant resources for various subjects to help modify the class curriculum for the students. I supported the Teachers as well and worked closely with the parents to ensure the children were learning and developing in the right way.
Living in Singapore for eleven years has meant I have moved five times and each time I moved I appreciated the stress and frustration it can bring. It made me hone my skills at sorting, organising, packing, liaising with movers and service Companies and dealing effectively with ‘move day’. I now help my clients in the same way and optimise the space and take away the clutter and hassle so they can enjoy their new home as quickly as possible.
I am addicted to small space storage solutions and have a flare for being able to bring order to chaos, to take the emotion out of discarding personal items so that each project makes a house a home, somewhere that is functional and works for all members of a family. I love trying out new organisational systems and sharing what works with my clients, very often it is a simple and cheap if not free solution that works best!
